Barbara M. Lutz of Holiday City South Section of Berkley Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was 77 years old. Barbara was born on April 27, 1934, in Newark, NJ. Raised in Irvington, she lived in Cedar Grove, NJ most of her adult life until moving to Berkley Township in 2001. Barbara was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and Seton Hall University.
She worked as a Nursing Supervisor at Presbyterian Hospital in Newark early in her career, before working as a nurse and office manager in Cedar Grove for Dr. Berman and Dr. Nathan for over 20 years. Barbara was known for her dedication and compassion to her patients. She touched countless lives throughout her nursing career. Barbara celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in February of 2011. In June of this year, she was able to fulfill her dream of taking her entire family on a cruise to celebrate this milestone.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Mary and her husband Peter; and her son Bill and his wife Christine. Barbara will be greatly missed by her three grandkids, Casey, Kevin, and Sean.
