Barbara Louise Bierer, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022, surrounded by her children. She was born on July 16, 1937, to Glen and Marjorie Wiggins.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1955 and then attended Weber State College.

Barbara went to work for Anderson Lumber in Ogden and soon after, met Roy V. Bierer who was stationed at Hill Air Force Base. They were sealed on September 12, 1958, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they made their home in Brigham City and had four children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Most of her career was spent working for Box Elder School District as School Lunch Coordinator. She enjoyed traveling throughout the district, meeting new people, and made many life-long friends.

Barbara loved dancing, singing, traveling, sports, and visiting with friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: David (Valerie) Bierer of South Ogden, UT, Denise (Scott) Vincent of Kaysville, UT, John (Natalie) Bierer of Brigham City, UT, and Jill (Robert) Hales of Bartlesville, OK; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her “one and only” sweetheart, Roy, her parents, and grandchildren: Courtney Ann Wright and Jonah Roy Wright.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Deb, Aubree, Inspiration Hospice and all caregivers at Avamere at Mountain Ridge Senior Center.
