Barbara Lillian Albiker, 79, a resident of Pasadena for 44 years, died on January 7, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after suffering from cancer for one year.

She was born on August 8, 1932, in Baltimore, to the late Marie and William Weber. She enjoyed collecting dolls, and was an avid reader. As an English major, she became senior proofreader and editor for Maryland Linotype for 19 years and then for the US Government Printing Office for 15 years. She belonged to the Sierra Club and the Smithsonian Preservation Society.

She is predeceased by her two husbands: Frederick Garrison and Nelson Kenneth Albiker.

She is survived by her son Eric Garrison, of Hagerstown; her sister Marion Waugh, of Eastpoint, her brother Nicholas Weber, of Pasadena, three nieces: Michele Divine and Linda Daywalt, of Pasadena, and Pamela Weber, of Los Angeles, Ca., and one nephew Scott Weber, of Dundalk.
