Barbara Lee (Bucher) Bellows, 87, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, surrounded by love and family on Friday, March 6, 2020.
Barbara was born on August 28, 1932, in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Floyd and Vinnie (Spore) Bucher. She was a 1950 graduate of Concord High School.
On June 17, 1950, she married the love of her life Stanley Roy Bellows. Together they lived in Elkhart and built a home there until 1985 when they returned to The Bellows family farm in White Pigeon, Michigan. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage together, prior to his passing on May 24, 2001
Barbara is survived by a loving daughter Roxanne Welker and husband Robin of White Pigeon; two grandchildren, Trevor Welker with his fiance’, Niki Randall of Flagstaff, AZ and Kelsey Hill and husband Kyle of Pensacola, FL. Also, her five great-grandchildren Blake, Collin, Aiden Hill and Violet and Kellan Welker.
Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kay (Bellows) Foster, and her sister, Virginia (Bucher) Tope-Miller.
Barbara was an executive secretary for many years and retired from the Kent Company in Elkhart, in 1995. She also enjoyed wintering in Palmetto, FL until two years ago. She took pride in living on the family farm and loved gardening, reading and crafts. Her greatest pleasure was her family and cherished the moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
