Barbara Joy Ragains
Barbara Ragains passed peacefully from this world on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
Barbara was born March 9, 1934 in Roswell, Idaho to Marjorie and Sam Fretwell. During her junior year of high school, she met a handsome young man from Emmett named Larry. They married on November 23, 1952, and could be found holding hands until his death in May of this year.
Barbara was a quiet hero, blessing friends and strangers with money delivered anonymously through the mail or groceries left on the doorstep. She made the best chocolate cake in the world, and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her sister Gayle Eld of Caldwell, brother Roger Fretwell (Sarah) of Henderson NV, daughters Susan Ness (Gene) of Parma and Salli Christensen of Caldwell, grandchildren Ben McCollough, Mili and Alex Christensen, Justin Ness (Annie), Brian Ness and Stephanie Ness Ingalls (Jay), great grandchildren Donavin, Gavin, Chord, Khase, and Ragain, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
