Barbara Jean Tole (nee Graham), 83, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Sycamore Village Assisted Living in Swansea, IL. Barbara was born on August 3, 1937, in Bentonia, MS.
After graduating from Humes High School in Memphis, TN, she continued her education, obtaining her bachelor’s degree and becoming a nurse and later served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. She went on to work at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN for over 30 years where she was recognized as one of the top 100 nurses in Shelby County. Barbara was also a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova, TN, and she will be missed by all those she loved.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Johnny and Margaret Graham (nee Ship).
Surviving are her two children; Michael Tole of Memphis, TN, and Tim (Cynthia) Tole of O’Fallon, IL, one sister; Peggy Youngblood of Coldwater, MS, and two grandchildren; Nathaniel Tole and Hannah Tole.
