Barbara J. Tiedeman, 91, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, in Des Moines, IA. Barbara was born October 30, 1929, in Des Moines, IA, to Bruno and Mae (Joss) Torri. She married Phillip Tiedeman and together they raised three children.
Barbara was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and was very involved with her church. She enjoyed cooking for and with her family. She and her sisters loved to spend time together as well as all of her extended family. She also liked to spend time at the Southside Community Center in her later years. Barbara attended her high school reunions through the years and kept in contact with many of her high school friends.
Barbara is survived by her children, Mark (Julia) Tiedeman of Des Moines, IA, David (Mary) Tiedeman of Eatonton, GA, daughter, Sherri (Richard) Peckham of Ankeny, IA; sisters, Darlene Tursi of Des Moines, IA, Nancy (Larry) Tarr of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Bryan Tiedeman, Amy (John) Geng, Jennifer (Graham Drake) Tiedeman, Justin (Emily) Tiedeman, Megan (John) Bowen, Kayla (Joshua) Henry of Johnston, IA; 12 great grandchildren; as well as all of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Tiedeman; grandchild, Emily Peckham; and her parents.
