Barbara Furr, 81, of Albemarle, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her earthly home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Barbara was born July 28, 1941 in North Carolina to the late Robert Smith and the late Faye Hartsell Smith. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Kim Morton; and siblings, Shirley Beam and Kenneth Smith.
Survivors include daughter, Sherrie Morton of Albemarle, NC; sons, Donnie Morton of Albemarle, NC and Dwayne (Foot) Morton of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Angie Morton Horne and Casey Morton; great-grandchildren, Kali Morton, Shawn Morton, JayLynn Morton, and Darrius Watkins; great-great-granddaughter, Laylani Craig; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Christy Rouse, and a special thank you to Wendy Springer and to the staff of Hospice of Stanly Co. and the Uwharrie.
