Mrs. Barbara Munro Nairn, age 81, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Robert Nairn, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in the Ludlow Center for Health, Fairfield. Daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Roberts Munro, she was born on March 1, 1927 in Stamford. Barbara was the owner of Center Spa in Milford and managed the Sears Cafeteria. She loved her home, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved traveling around America by train, especially with her husband and greatly enjoyed her friends and neighbors. Survivors include her devoted children, Barbara McMellon and her husband Chuck of Milford, Susan Simeone and her husband Phillip of Rindge, NH, and Richard Nairn of Nantucket, MA and his wife Marilyn of West Haven, and her cherished grandchildren, Stacy Simeone Schuttler and her husband David, Adam Simeone, Matthew McMellon and his wife Christi, Ian McMellon and his wife Stacy, Amy Nairn, Elizabeth Nairn, Keith Nairn and his wife Morgan, and Kevin Nairn. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Zoe, Violet, and Mazie Schuttler, Bella Nairn, and Collin McMellon, her brother, Robert Munro of Charleston, SC, and her sisters, Doris Dunbar of Concord, NH, Ruth Parmelee of Milfod, and June Gillette of NC. She was predeceased by brothers, Morton and Donald Munro and her sister, Bette Ayer.
