Barbara Jean (Hurley) Jusek, 82, of Maple Shade Road, Middletown, wife of the late John J. Jusek, died suddenly Monday, January 14th at Waters Edge Center for Health. Born in Xenia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alton B. and Marie (Davis) Hurley. Barbara lived in Middletown since 1973 moving here from Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State University and worked for Xerox in Columbus, Ohio and Middletown, Connecticut for 30 years retiring as personal manager in 1986. Barbara was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross, a member of the Vintage Players of Middletown and an avid sports fan faithfully following the Buckeyes and the Red Sox. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Marie Monahan and her husband Michael, of Middletown, two sisters, Janet McKnight of Waynesville, Ohio and Martha Joanne Hurley of Columbus, Ohio, three grandsons, Matthew, Jacob, and John Michael and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Cain and Jane Merwin.
