Barbara Jean Cardwell, 69, of Westminster, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at her residence. Born September 1, 1946 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Violet (Scavelli) Rademacher and Richard Rademacher. She was the wife of the late Francis Lawrence Cardwell III.
Before retiring she worked as a rental agent and briefly worked in retail. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Jean Cardwell of Queenstown, MD and Richard and Colleen Cardwell of Westminster, a daughter and son-in-law Donna and Kevin Downey of Westminster. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Robbie, Stephanie, and Kaitlyn Cardwell, Mark and Michael Cardwell, Tabitha and Kevin James Downey and Jennifer (Cardwell) Gick and husband Greg and her 2 great-grandchildren; Greg Jr and Lane Gick. She also has a cousin from Riverhead, NY and his wife, Gary and Mae Jayne. In addition she is also survived by an ex-husband Dwight Mullinix, her best friend of many years Wilma Bentz, the many friends she had at Timber Ridge Apartments, and of course her cat Bailey Jean.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. until service time; 11 a.m.
