Muncie – Barbara Jean Bell, 78, passed away on November 1, 2013, at Millers Merry Manor in Chesterfield following an extended illness.
Barbara was born in Reed Station on December 21, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Georgia Hendsel, and attended Yorktown High School.
Mrs. Bell was a nursing assistant for many years prior to her illness 22 years ago. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. The family would like to express their gratitude to Miller’s Merry Manor for the many years of devoted care of Barbara.
Survivors include her children, Patty Smith, Dallas, Texas, Randy Bell, (wife-Trudy), Muncie, Connie Bell, Anderson, and Troy Bell, Indianapolis; two sisters, Carolyn Webb, (husband-Dale), Muncie, and Wanda “Katie” Binnion, Yorktown; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max Bell; a son Rodney Bell; a daughter Diana Bell; Billy Bell; and Michelle Bell.
