Barbara J. Siegfried, 71, of Bethlehem died on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert K. Siegfried who died in 2003. Born on April 13, 1944 in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Binder) Shannon. She worked as a packer and shipping clerk for the former Synthetic Thread for a number of years before retiring. Barbara enjoyed cooking and gardening. Surviving are her loving family, sons, Thomas Hartung and Richard Siegfried both of Bethlehem; daughter, Julie Hartung; grandchildren, Richard D. Siegfried, Autumn Siegfried, Rachel Siegfried; sisters, Dolores Arnold and her husband John; Margaret Ann Lynn all of Bethlehem. She was also survived by her daughter in law Jean Siegfried, who was her caretaker and best friend. She was predeceased by brother, George Shannon.
