Barbara J. McEachern, age 71, of Sandwich, died suddenly Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was the wife of Bernard McEachern and the former wife of the late Paul Murray. Born in Roslindale on February 23, 1951, to William and Barbara (Libby) Scannell, she was raised in Randolph and has lived in Plymouth and Sandwich for many years. Barbara graduated Cardinal Spellman High School and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, kayaking and spending time with her family. She was very dedicated and interested in veteran’s groups such as the American Legion and VFW. Besides her husband Bernard, she leaves behind her children, Tracy Murray of Sandwich, Erin Jefferson and her husband Donald of Plymouth, Lynn Fernandez and her husband Stephen of Coventry, Rhode Island, Keri Varao and her husband John of Sandwich, and will now join her deceased son John. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler and Cameron Gusciora, Michael, Christopher and Meghan Fernandez, Ava Murray and John Varao IV and Jillian. She was the great grandmother to Carter, Mia and Niko Gusciora, 2 sisters Denise Harmon of New Hampshire, Marybeth Whitcher and her husband Eugene of Pocasset and the late Sharon Scannell.
