Barbara J. Koons, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 07, 2016, in Tallahassee.
A daughter of Claude C. and C. Louise Barber Sapp, of blessed memory, she was born February 19, 1929, in Miami, Florida. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Sapp. A registered nurse, she was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she was active as well as an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women. She was also a past Deacon and Elder. The loving family she leaves behind includes her husband of 65 years, Jack C. Koons; daughter, Delsie Koons Bell (Robert); grandchildren, Lisa Bell Sondesky (Chris), Robbie Bell, and Kimberly Bell Rosborough (Marc); and three great-grandchildren.
