Barbara J. Avery, of Greenwood, IN, went to her heavenly home November 27, 2021.
She was born to the late Harry and Edith Bauer in Indianapolis, IN on February 10, 1937.
Barbara was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker for many years of her life but then devoted several years to G&H Wire and most recently worked at Wheatley’s in Wanamaker, IN.
Barbara loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, and was an excellent cook.
She’s been a member of Faith Community Church for more than 20 years where she grew to love the Lord with all her heart.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Paul L. Avery; son, Joe Avery; great-granddaughter, Arianna Haddock; siblings, Evelyn, Helen, Louise, Dorothy, Deloris, Ruby, Rosie, and Aaron, and sons-in-law, David Neathery and Joe Windsor.
She will be loved and missed by her children, Paul (Terry) Blankenship, Teresa Windsor, Brenda Neathery, Robin (Deon) Pike, and Shelly (Mike) Davis, as well as her companion of 25 years, Larry Murray, and his children, Pat, Kevin, and Mike; daughter-in-law, Juli Hagan; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren; more nieces and nephews than we could count.
