Barbara Inez Payne, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015. She was born on September 6, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Payne; parents, Carl and Fannie Bryant; brothers, Paul Bryant, Edward Bryant and Ira Bryant; and a sister, Eva Bryant Smithey. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Payne Smith and her fiancé, Rob Moss of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Lindsay Smith Slaughter and her husband Ryan of Dalton; Jeremy Jordan Smith of Chatsworth; great-grandchildren, Justin Slaughter, Hunter Slaughter and Chyle’ Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
