Barbara Gene Bauer 78, of Arthurdale died Friday February 11, 2011 at her home. She was born October 16, 1932 in Gypsy, WV a daughter of the late W.H. “Red” and Phyllis (Rife) Zickefoose. She was a member and Deaconess of the Arthurdale Community Presbyterian Church. She had served as president of the Arthurdale Women’s Club, was a Girl Scout Leader, and volunteered for both Hospice and Mon General Hospital. Barbara had worked as a packer for the Pittsburgh Valve Co. in Reedsville. She is survived by her husband of sixty two years William H. Bauer, Jr. of Arthurdale; three sons William H. Bauer, III and Beverly of Masontown, Edward K. Bauer and Jill of Kentucky, and R. Jack Bauer of Reedsville; three daughters Linda Videtto and Marcus of New Jersey, Suzy Bauer-Roberts and Marcus of Alaska, and Nancy Kelly and Jon of Virginia; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Bernard Zickefoose, infant sister Lora, and two great-grandchildren.
