Barbara “Edith” Campbell Thigpen, 74, of Middletown, died peacefully on May 23, 2016. She was born in Clewiston, Florida to the late Marion and Julia (Smalls) Campbell.
Barbara lived in Middletown for 50 years. She met, fell in love, and married Frank Thigpen and has been married to him for 54 years. Barbara never met a stranger: she was mom, auntie, cousin, and friend to anyone she met. She was employed with Greystone Retirement Home for 35 years; she was dedicated to her career and gave her all to her fellow peers and residents.
