Barbara E. Rose, 98, of Jacksonville, IL died December 19, 2011 at Heritage Health-Therapy and Senior Care in Jacksonville.
She was born July 2, 1913 in Macomb, IL; the only daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth Morrison Rose. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1930 and was an LPN at the Jacksonville State Hospital for over 20 years before retiring.
Ms. Rose was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville and, as an avid bird watcher, was a member of the Morgan County Audubon Society.
She is survived by her caregivers and dear friends, John Ford and Linda Ford of Jacksonville; several cousins including Don Rose (wife, Margaret) of Ottertail, MN, Jan Messih (husband, Roger) of Verdes, CA, and Matthew Miller (wife, Debra) of Copperolis, CA; and many friends.
