Barbara E. (Moroney) Knight, 88, of Upton, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in St. Camillus Health Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. Her husband of 56 years, Ernest M. “Pete” Knight, died in 2003.
Mrs. Knight was born in Upton, a daughter of the late John and Claire (McCarty) Moroney and was a lifelong resident. A graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School in Milford, she was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton. In family tradition, she worked for the U. S.
Barbara lived her later years with vascular dementia, surrounded by a group of wonderful helpers. She excelled in playing Scrabble, and maintained her excellent character and quick wit until she passed.
She leaves a niece, Sue Usher of Upton, and a nephew, James Usher of Fort Worth, TX. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Usher, and nephews Paul and J.
