Barbara E. Kline, 87, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Kline was born on January 19, 1931, in Huntington, IN, to Howard Robert ‘Chick’ and Mary Evelyn (Hildebrand) Herzog. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Dwight E. Kline on December 1, 1952. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2002.
Barbara graduated from Huntington High School in 1949. She retired as a bookkeeper for Huntington Tractor Sales after 43 years of service. She was a member of St. Peter’s 1st Community Church, and Eastern Star. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing about any card game and loved her time spent with friends and family.
Barbara is survived by two sons, Kevin D. (Connie) Kline, John H. (Lisa) Kline, both of Huntington, IN; three daughters, Tamson M. (Robert) Shaffer, Lampasas, TX, Kris (Ken) Scheiber, Huntington, IN, Susan K. Rupel, Midwest City, OK; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, William J. Carey; one sister, Carolyn R. Waikel; and one granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Gardner.
