Passed away Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 76 years old. Barbara was born December 17, 1939 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Ruse) Stacey. On June 22, 1957 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, John DeHollander. They later settled in Portage, MI where their four children were raised. Barbara dedicated her life to raising her children and maintaining her household. Barbara had a passion for romance novels, old country music, garage sales, lighthouses, and making other people happy.
Barbara was a giving person and you never left her home empty handed. Barbara is survived by her children, Steve DeHollander of Kalamazoo, Stanley DeHollander of Ionia, Debra (Andy) Bozell of Portage, Kelly DeHollander of Portage; her grandchildren, Phil (Erin) Bozell, Christy (Joe) Metzger, Andrew J. Bozell, and Matt DeHollander; 6 great-grandchildren, Paige, Gabriella, Isabella, Brynn, Bryce, and Mason; 4 brothers Tommy, David, Ronnie, Kenneth; 3 sisters, Nancy (Charlie) Hoke, Peggy (Norman) Hoke, and Beverly; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, John DeHollander; her sister, Darlene Wyman; and her brother, Eddie Young.
