She had attended Muncie Central High School. Barbara married the love of her life, Kenneth Evans on December 31, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Evans had worked for the Ball Corporation as a machine operator for 35yrs., prior to her retirement in 2003. She had attended the Full Gospel Temple for several years. Barbara cherished family times with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivor’s include, two daughters, LaDonna L. Hollowell (husband-John), and Brenda whittenburg (husband-Danny), both of Muncie; three sons, Charles Evans (wife-Tina), Carl Evans and Norman Evans, all of Muncie; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Cook (husband-Paul), Muncie; three brothers, Theodore Combs (wife-Carolyn), Cowan, Edward Combs (wife-Kay) and Bud Combs (wife-Bonnie), both of Muncie; one sister-in-law, Mary Edith Combs, Parker City.
Besides her husband of 28 yrs., Kenneth, she is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Smith; three brothers, Bill, Donald and Fred Combs; one grandson, Josh Whittenburg in 2005.
