LOWELL – Barbara (Carpenter) Page, 83, of Lowell, born in Wilkes Barre, PA to Lansing Taylor Carpenter and Gertrude Clift Carpenter, left the beautiful planet she loved on April 29, 2016, after a brief illness.
An Art History graduate from Wellesley College, she worked for the Peabody Museum of Cambridge exploring and illustrating archaeological finds in Mexico and the Oklahoma. Her work is found in two major Harvard University Press books. Independently, she worked as a graphic designer and used her talent to produce detailed pen and ink drawings and beautiful watercolor paintings.
