Barbara Blish Straub, age 77, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Fort Walton Beach. She was born on August 21, 1931 in Seymour, Indiana to John Blish and Frances Blish.
She grew up on a farm and loved small town life. The wife of a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel brought many years of adversity. All though she traveled extensively she made Fort Walton Beach her home, to raise their two son’s. Barbara spent many years devoting time to Cub Scouts, even after her two sons where grown. Barbara also had a great passion for all animals coming into her home, (Snakes, Turtles, Hamsters, Gerbils, Dogs, ect…)
Preceding her in death are here parents, husband of 55 years and their youngest son Scott Griffin Straub, She is survived by her oldest son Peter Blish Straub of Fort Walton Beach.
