Barbara A. Pevo passed away on October 26, 2019. She was born Barbara Chase on May 24, 1939, in Mt. Vernon New York, to her parents Raymond Chase & Mary Pellicci. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert A. Pevo who passed on Dec. 19, 1991. Barbara  leaves behind 4 children, Lisa M. Burck,  Andrew J. Pevo, Jeffrey R. Pevo, & Marylynn P. Gran.  She had 10 grandchildren, & 10 Great Grandchildren. Barbara & Bob began their family in Pelham N.Y., then moved to Glen Burnie MD, where Barbara lived until her passing.
Our mom never really lost her New York accent, and she was quite proud to have that noticed. She was also very proud to be Italian, and if you knew her you knew that made her who she was. She was sweet and kind, but also loud, witty, and a fighter in every sense – not to mention she was a hell of a great cook. She loved rooting her sons on in football and would run the sidelines screaming, even beating them to the end zone!  She could even been seen cheering with her daughters. She would do anything for anyone, call things exactly how she saw them, and was not shy about how she felt about anyone. She was straight forward and brash, but had no regrets ever over her spoken words. She was loving yet could be harsh when called-for, she was one of a kind for sure. Her outspokenness was something everyone loved about her. She would give you the shirt off her back, but also take it back and beat you with it if necessary. That was our Mom, and we sure loved her and were so grateful she was ours. She will be forever missed by us kids, her grandchildren, and her friends. To know her was to absolutely love her. This earth lost one of its best when she passed. May God take you by the hand Barbara Anne.
