Barbara Anna Marie Myrick, 68, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born Apr. 8, 1941, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Emmett P. and Beulah K. Wallace Gardner.
She is survived by five sons, Richard (wife, Connie) Gardner of Jacksonville, Keith (wife, Traci) Gardner of Rantoul, Curtis Gardner of Springfield, Dean (partner, Randy) Myrick of Springfield and Todd (wife, Kendra) Myrick of Aurora, CO; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rebecca Mitchell and Lucy Gardner, both of Jacksonville, and Kathryn Lindsey of Detroit, MI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Percy Johnson, Edward Gardner and George Gardner; and three sisters, Mattie E. Jackson, Dora Garrett and Ida Mae McPike.
Ms. Myrick was a member of House of Worship COGIC, where she enjoyed being an usher and a servant to the Lord. She had worked many years as a cook at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, and had also worked at Illinois College.
