Mrs. Barbara Ann Bohannon, 65, of Ottawa died Tuesday evening, July 27, at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Health Care Center. Barbara was born December 26, 1944 in Chicago to Arnold and Sylvia (Doris) Olson. She married David A. Bohannon on June 18, 1967 in Chicago. She received her Bachelor in Education Degree from Illinois State University. She started teaching kindergarten in Elmhurst.
She taught at George P. Hills Elementary School in Naplate, Jefferson and McKinley Elementary Schools in Ottawa. She retired after teaching 34 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Rebecca Rorem Circle and volunteered at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Health Care Center. She is survived by her husband, David of Ottawa; one daughter, Amy (Eric) Buscher of Ottawa; two granddaughters, Molly and Maggy Buscher; one brother, Don(Mary) Olson of Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her parents.
