Loving Mother, Wife, Sister, and Friend, Barbara Ann Kemps (Herrmann) 1952-2019
Barbara Kemps of Brighton, Colorado, formerly of Roselle Park, Westfield and Scotch Plains, New Jersey passed away on April 1, 2019 from a longtime illness. Barbara was a Special Education teacher at Roselle Park High School (RPHS) retiring in 2011 then moving to Colorado shortly thereafter. Barbara loved the outdoors; hiking, biking, tennis, and participating in triathlons. Her greatest joy in Roselle Park was spearheading the committee to renovate the Roselle Park High School Auditorium in 2009. Barbara was a graduate of Kean University with a BA in Secondary Education and she obtained two Master Degrees; one from Rutgers University in English and the other from Kean in Special Education. She was loved by colleagues and students at Roselle Park.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Thomas of 43 years, her children Jennifer (Jill) of Arvada, Colorado and Brian of Phoenix, Arizona along with her sister, Marilyn Wickstrom (Eric) of Livingston, New Jersey. Barbara was admired by numerous nieces and nephews.
