Barbara Ann Abrahamson Hawkins, age 83, of Fairburn, GA passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. Mrs. Hawkins was born in Atlanta, GA on September 25, 1935, to the late James Walton and the late Claudia Holcomb Walton.
Barbara was a girl scout coordinator and an active leader of the Cascade Jr. Woman’s Club. She served as President and was voted “Woman of the Year” in 1969. She spent her career years working for Wrangler and Epstein Investments. She was a strong and independent woman who set a wonderful example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Cindy Abrahamson Smith of Senoia, GA, Rick Abrahamson and wife Yvette of Roanoke, AL, and Julie Abrahamson of Doraville, GA; a brother, Danny Walton and wife Marcia; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
