Barbara Ann (Grubb) Bradt, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Health First Hospice House. Barb was a resident of Viera, Florida since 2004.

Barb was born in 1938 in Findlay, Ohio to Josephine and Robert Grubb. She attended The Ohio State University prior to working as a professional water skier at Cypress Gardens in the late 1950’s.

Barb was married to John Peter Bradt in 1967 and they enjoyed an active life of golf, tennis and lots of friends. The family lived in many places across the country including: Ohio, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Indian and Missouri prior to Florida.

During Barb’s time in multiple states, she enjoyed working at the Y.M.C.A and managing neighborhood swimming pools. She was especially passionate about teaching young children to swim. In 1999, Barb retired from a successful career at a large Indianapolis, IN. law firm to move to St. Louis, MO. to be closer to her daughter Nicole Bradt Davanzo and family. Barb was passionate about her two children and five grandchildren. She enjoyed many years of being an important part of their lives.

She is survived by her husband, John Peter Bradt; her two children and their spouses Nicole and Patrick Davanzo of Viera, FL., and Andy and Michelle Yockey of Highlands Ranch, CO.; and grandchildren Patrick Davanzo Jr., John Robert Davanzo, Matt Yockey, Chris Yockey, and Lauren Yockey. Barb will also be forever remembered by her many friends from across the United States.
