Barbara A. Ring, 81, passed away Friday morning at 3:14 am, October 11, 2013 at her residence in Muncie with her family at her side. She was born March 18, 1932, in Muncie, the daughter of Raymond and Pauline White. She graduated from Muncie Central High School.
Barbara worked at Borg-Warner until starting her family and then became a homemaker and stay at home mom. After the death of her beloved husband, Russell, in 1974, she returned to work as a bookkeeper at Gommel’s Meat Market. She finished her working career at Watters Heating and Electric before retiring in 2008.
Surviving are her daughter, Gwen Robertson, (husband, Anthony), Muncie; her son, Scott Ring, (wife, Kim), Muncie; four grandchildren, Alisha Horner, (husband, John), Anthony Robertson, Jr., (friend, Haley Johnson), Matthew Ring, (fiance’, Emmi MacIntyre); and Tyler Ring; her sister, Sally Jo Hentze, (husband, Gary); and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Calvin Grim, (friend, Mary Wingate), Marge Ring, Jim and Nell Ring, Patty Ring and Sally Kirk; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Christine Green, who helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Russell Ring; her parents, Raymond and Pauline White; and two brothers, Ronnie and Ray White, Jr.
