Barbara A. Tunney (nee Graves) of Columbus died Wednesday November 23, 2016 at her residence at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family and is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life Jimmy. Barbara was born in Burlington and was a longtime resident of Beverly before moving to Columbus. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1954.

Barbara was considered to be an Angel on earth by her family and all who knew her. She will be most remembered for her tremendous love of her family. Her life was her family and it showed in her dedication to them. Barbara had a seemingly endless supply of love, kindness, joy and compassion to share with not only her family but with everyone she knew. She loved taking care of her grandchildren, attending their school functions or sporting events; she was definitely their number one fan. She was known as “Little Nan” to all who knew her. She was an avid fan of Notre Dame, the Phillies and the New England Patriots. A spiritual person, Barbara was a devout catholic and her life was guided by her faith. She also enjoyed numerous vacations with family at the Jersey Shore.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Horace Graves and Emma (nee Stacey) Gray, her sister Judith Speak and her husband, James Patrick Tunney. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law: Michele and Phillip Adams, Letha and Mark Salaga and Deirdre and Robert Clauser, her grandchildren; Brooke (William) Allen, Jonathan Tunney, Erin (Michael) Pypiak, James Patrick (Adele) McKenna and Cole, Morgan and Cameron Clauser, her great grandchildren; Madison Franquet, Rawlings Franquet, Victoria Pypiak, Brandon Pypiak, sister Joan (Steve) Miller, brother in law Curtis Speak Sr., as well as other brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
