BLODGETT, Mrs. Barbara A. Molenaar died Tuesday morning May 6, 2014. Barbara was born August 7, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Cornelius “Casey” and Esther Louis Molenaar.
She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Consumer Energy for 36 years, retiring in 2003. Barbara was also a member of the Climax Scotts American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Blodgett; grandnephew, Oliver Molenaar; step-granddaughter, Breanne Blodgett; and a sister-in-law, Esther Molenaar.
She is survived by Stephen Way of Climax; 2 brothers, Harold E. Molenaar of Holland and Roger L. Judy Molenaar of Kalamazoo; 2 aunts, Betty Molenaar and Marian Louis; nephews, Daniel S. Susan Molenaar, William M. Astrida Molenaar, and Scott A. Molenaar; niece, Kimberly K. Donald Gjeltema; stepchildren, Bret Blodgett, Dyrinda Tom Price, Bree Rick Vandis, Belinda Dave Terry, and Brad Georgia Blodgett; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several other aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
