Barbara A. Larzelere, age 80, of Fair Oaks, Indiana, passed away July 30, 2021 at the Rensselaer Care Center.
Barbara was born on October 29, 1940 in Millbrook, Michigan to Morris and Carmel (nee Shedell) Leiter. She was a graduate of Blanchard High School, Class of 1958. Barbara married the love of her life, Roy “Buzz” Larzelere on January 30, 1960 in San Diego, CA.
He preceded her in death on January 19, 2021. Barbara was primarily a homemaker but previously worked 10 years as a housekeeper at St. Anthony Hospital, at Sears’, JCPenny’s, and Lincoln School. She was a member of the Journey Assembly of God Church in Lowell and the Red Hat Society. She loved helping out at church, working at the food pantry, daily walks with Shirley, and spending time with her good friends Jimmie & Edna, her children and grandchildren. Barbara Larzelere is survived by her daughters: Shawn (John) Killion of DeMotte, IN; Shannon (Scott) Van Den Bosch of Grand Rapids, MI; Johanna (Walter) Justice of Hebron, IN; and son, Greg (Cindy) Larzelere of DeMotte, IN; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
