Bailey “Sonny” “Jake” Eugene Jenkins, 79 of Grafton passed away at Mon General Hospital, Friday, November 23, 2018 with family by his side. He was born December 20, 1938 in Aster, WV, son of the late Richard E. Jenkins, Sr., and Gertrude Ellen Knotts Jenkins. He is survived by his wife Leona Marie Spencer Jenkins, they were married July 12, 1998.
Bailey graduated from Flemington High School and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed going to the shooting range, and playing games on his computer. He loved to eat, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church, Grafton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Balia Franklin and husband Brian, TN, Becki Jenkins, MD, Bailey E. Jenkins and wife Sonya, MD, John Jenkins and wife Cindy, MI, Kandi Rozela and husband Don, MI; four step-children, Daniel Leggett and companion Tracy, Donald Leggett and companion Marla, all of Grafton, Dora Vandergrift and husband Nezer, Shinnston, James Leggett, Thornton, one sister, Judy Axon, TN; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, one granddaugher, Sophia Jenkins, one step-son, Edward Leggett, two brothers, Jeffrey Jenkins, and Buddy Jenkins.
