Ms. Babette “Babs” Johnson-Seckinger, of Savannah, Georgia, born on September 1, 1952 in Hardwick, Georgia, to the late Georgia Mae Smith and the late Walter Francis Johnson, Jr., passed away at age 66 on April 12, 2019 in Anchorage, Alaska.

She graduated from Effingham County High School in 1970. She served in the Air Force in the Vietnam War as an Air Force Nurse and she also was a jack of all trades. Babs was the beloved wife of Billy Wayne Grasty. She was a truck driver, bus driver, trolley driver, nurse; but above all else, she was a beloved mother. Her family said “She will live on in the memories of all whose lives she has touched and she will never be gone. We ask, as her family, that you remember her and honor her memory.

Until we meet again, Mom; we will always love and remember you.” Babs is survived by her son, Thomas Alex Morris III and his children: Thomas Francis James Morris, Kaitlyn Mariah Lyn Morris, and Lyssa Skye Marie Morris ; oldest daughters, Katina Lynn Adams and her husband Theo Wade Adams II and their children: Theo Wade Adams III, Dayla Mae Adams, Kara Landon, and great-grandson, Zakar Adams ; and her youngest daughter, Summer Skye Ruth and her husband, James Marshall Ruth II along with their children: Destinee Marie Olson, Alaina Rayne Ruth-Grasty, and David Lee Ruth. She was preceded in death by her cat, Shadow.
