Mr. Babatunde Elegbede, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Saturday, May 16, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 35. Babatunde was born April 8, 1985 in Lagos, Nigeria a son of Danda Atamda and Rabiatu Amope Elegbede.

Before coming to the United States in December of 2017, Babatunde lived in Iboro, North Egbado North LGA, Ogun State, Nigeria. He attended school at Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Ogun State. He proceeded on to Olabisi Onabanjo University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Law. Babatunde’s academic prowess showed as he graduated among the top five law school students at his university.

He then attended Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Babatunde practiced law in Nigeria until coming to the United States for his postgraduate education.

Babatunde was a kind, reliable and dependable friend. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was always putting a smile on people’s faces. He loved cooking, traveling and really enjoyed soccer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory and legacy his family and friends both in the United States and Nigeria.
