Avid A. Cumberland, age 76, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away on February 26, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Avid was born on June 23, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids to Kenneth and Ione Cumberland. He was united in marriage to Sharon (Knoll) Cumberland on June 14, 1975 at Evangelical Free Church in Wisconsin Rapids. During his working career, he was a laborer for over 30 years at Consolidated Papers, Inc.
He enjoyed being a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps., and was a baker with a specialty in wedding cake decorating. He served on a mission trip to Peru with his church in 2006.
Avid is survived by his wife Sharon; children: Brian (April) Cumberland, Rachel (Mike) Warren, Kenneth (Coco) Cumberland; step-daughters: Dawn Petersen, Donna Johnson, and Denise Petersen; grandchildren: Katelyn Cumberland, Matthew Cumberland, Andrew Cumberland, Abygail Trager, Logan Trager, and Emily Trager; step-grandchildren: Jacob Chatfield, Lucas Chatfield, Zachary (Alynah) Johnson, and Nicholle Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Karen (Knoll) Cumberland; his parents; brothers: Keith and Royce Cumberland; and nephew: Jamie Cumberland.
The family would like to thank the Covid Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their tender care; and the DaVita dialysis staff in Wausau for their many years he was a patient there.
