Avadell (Bundy) Cooksey passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 11, 2016.
She was born January 20, 1921 in Odin, Illinois, daughter of Paul and Della (Deadmond) Bundy.
She married Earl Cooksey in the Methodist church in Perryville, Missouri by the Reverend Edward J. Gale. Her husband, Earl Cooksey, preceded her in death after seventy years of marriage.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Cooksey and wife Hazel of Florida, daughter Belva Hinthorn and husband William of Florida, grandsons, Jason Cooksey and wife Emma , Mason Cooksey and wife, Lanai , Scott Nelson, all of Florida, a granddaughter, Stacy and husband Greg VanBeek of New York, great granddaughters, Madeleine and Sophia VanBeek of New York, Rosie and Katie Cooksey of Florida, great grandson Zachary Nelson of Florida, brother, Verlin Bundy and wife Cay of Arizona, two sisters-in law, Shirley Bundy of Georgia and Rita Bundy of Illinois, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Delbert, Warren, Lowell Bundy and sister Louise Tate and brother-in-law Regis, sister-in-law Mildred Bundy, and an infant sister, Glenda Bundy.
