Augusta Sue Fendrich Kirby, age 72 of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Sue was born December 6, 1942 in Marlin, Texas. She was the youngest daughter born to the late August George Fendrich and Susie Jane Corn. Sue grew up on the high plains of West Texas. She graduated Sundown High School in 1961 and received her undergraduate degree in Teaching from West Texas State University in 1965. In 1967, she relocated to ElPaso, Texas to continue her teaching career.

There, she met and married Bobby Gay Kirby, on December 6, 1968. Bobby was then a Captain in the U.S. Army. Survivors include her husband Bobby, her Son, Robert Andrew Kirby, A USAF Sergeant currently stationed in Okinawa, and her Sister, Anna Lucy Crowder, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sue was a wonderful teacher, mother, and wife. An excellent cook herself, she loved good food and good dining. She had a wonderful smile and a respected mind. She was also highly skilled at sewing, her favorite hobby.
