Muncie- Gus Troyan, 87, of Muncie, died peacefully, Monday, October 31, 2011, at Morrison Woods Health Center after a lengthy illness. He was born October 5, 1924, in Youngstown, Ohio, to August J. and Elizabeth (Jenca) Troyan. He graduated from Rayen School, Youngstown, Ohio, in 1942, and Illinois Institute of Technology with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1945.
Gus enlisted in the US Navy during WWII and was an officer in the US Naval Reserve.
Gus was manager of Marine Transmissions at Borg Warner for twenty-five years, retiring in 1992. He also worked for Palmer Engine, Cos Cob, CT and International Harvester, Chicago, Illinois.
He was a member of St.
St. George Island, FL, and Joseph Troyan, Baltimore, OH; and his sister, Elizabeth Troyan, Youngstown, OH. He is preceded in death by his son, Tim.
The family greatly appreciates the loving care provided by Morrison Woods Health Campus, Southerncare Hospice, and Elmcroft Assisted Living Center.
