Newark/Phelps – August Conrad Biermann “Gus” 76 died suddenly at his home on Sunday, December 1, 2002.

Gus was born the son of August and Dorothy Kroemer Biermann on January 21, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York.
Gus was a member of St. John’s Lutheran in Lyons where he served as Treasurer for several years. He was also a member of the VFW Post 2883, Newark American Legion August Mauer Post 286 and the Newark Elks Lodge.
Gus will be missed by his loving wife of 29 years Beverly Pratt Biermann; children David (Catherine) Biermann of Virginia, Rev. Robert ( Delinda) Biermann of Florida, Marie (Mark) Biermann Swisher of Maryland, Hugh (Nikki) Austin of Pennsylvania, Mark Austin of Palmyra and Tim (Valerie) Austin of Shortsville; grandchildren Lynn Biermann, Logan Swisher, Marley Swisher, Jarryd Austin, Glenn Austin and Bethany Austin.
Gus was predeceased by his parents and brothers Robert and Allan.
