Audrey Phyllis Fraser, 97, of Anderson, passed away on April 30, 2015 at the Countryside Manor Health and Living Community.
She was born on January 9, 1918 in Dugger, Indiana, the daughter of Ola Grace and Phillip Henry Roeder. She was a homemaker, was active in PTO, Mother’s Club, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She sold Studio Girl Cosmetics, and was a Kinder Dance teacher. Phyllis was a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ. She always had a huge garden, beautiful flowers, and loved working outdoors. She enjoyed wood working and built cabinets, shelves, and helped her families on their construction projects. She and her husband built their home of 70 years. She made quilts for her family members, cooked and sewed for her church and made baby items for the Alpha Pregnancy Care Center.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Bob (Fran) Fraser of Anderson, Shirley (Gary) Harvey of Anderson, Janet Hoover of Anderson, and Don (Fran) Fraser of Goshen; grandchildren, Rob (Penny) Fraser, Diane (Allen) Walrich, Christy (Rick) Jones, Tony (Michelle) Fraser, Tim (Pam) Harvey, Jim Harvey, Evan (Karen) Hoover, Shelly (Bruce) Cain, Charles and Byron Bussard; great-grandchildren, Joe, Cameron and Connor Fraser, Allen and Alyssa Walrich, Zack, Spencer and Ellie Jones, Michael, Daniel, and Noelle Fraser, Mandy (Kameron) Leslie, Andy (Brittany) Harvey, Clayton Harvey, Timothy, Nathan, Anna, and Daniel Hoover, Emily, Levi and Bryce Cain, David, Lucas, Harmony, and Destiny Bussard; great-great-grandchildren, Riley and Nolan Fraser, Caleb Pugh, Addie and Braycen Harvey.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, August Joseph Fraser; granddaughter, Tammy Fraser; son-in-law, Gary L. Hoover; grandson, Steve Harvey; siblings, Everett Roeder, Ola (Ed) Kirby, Leo Roeder, Cecil (Dorothy) Roeder, Geneva (Lewis) Gordon, Elbert (Hannah) Roeder, Violet (Dick) Dickerson, Wilma (Bob) Walker, Hannabelle (Harold) Earl, Cleo (Kie) Roeder, and several nephews.
