Audrey H. (Jacoby) Phillip, 78, of Hanover Township, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She and her husband, John Stephen Phillip, celebrated 57 years of marriage in July. Born in Freemansburg, she was the daughter of the late Ogden and Helen (Kalman) Jacoby. Audrey served her country in the United States Army in the Womens Army Corp (WACs) during the Korean Conflict. She worked for the Law Office of McFadden, Riskin, Holland and Williams for 8 years until 1963 and later for the Trans Bridge Bus Company as a Reservationist for 4 years until May 1998. Audrey was a founder of the Lehigh Valley WACs Chapter #83 and served as a Council Woman, Director of Municipal Authority and Boro Manager in Freemansburg for 20 years until 1992. She was a member of the former St. Josephs R.C. Church in Bethlehem and Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church in Bethlehem Township. Survivors: her loving husband, John; daughters, Karen L. Cech, and Debra J. Brueningsen and her husband, David, all of Lower Nazareth Twp.; sons, John O. Phillip and his wife Kelly of Moore Township, and Christopher Phillip and his wife Nancy of Independence, KY; sister, Virginia (Jacoby) Brey of Moore Township; and 10 grandchildren.
