Audrey E. Marx, 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Cranberry Court Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Audrey was born on April 22, 1929 to Sam and Thelma (Sally) Moore in La Crosse, WI. She was united in marriage to Lloyd M. Rogers in 1949. That marriage ended in divorce. Her second marriage, to Bernard L. Marx, took place at the home of her nephew Jim (Amy) McGuire in Round Lake, IL on March 12, 1977. Bernie passed away on July 15, 2008.
She was factory worker for many years in Illinois and then in foster care after moving to Wisconsin in 1978. She loved dancing, camping, gardening, cooking, crocheting, garage sales, and stock car racing back in the day. But, Audrey’s greatest love of all was spending time with family and friends in Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, and different parts of Wisconsin.
Audrey is survived by her children: Lloyd (Diane) Rogers of Round Lake, IL, Al Rogers of Wisconsin Rapids, Debra Abear of Wisconsin Rapids, Rick Rogers of Milladore, WI, Renae (Paul) Nalbach of Kellner, and step-son David (Bonnie) Marx of Wisconsin Rapids. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and their families and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Lloyd, Floyd, and Wayne; sister Virginia; grandson Richard; granddaughter Heather; son Larry; Daughter Linda; son-in-law Richard; and husband Bernie.
