Ashley Marie Corry was born to Dre’sin Paris and Mary Allen on June 3rd, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. Ashley was a member of Where Eagles Gather Ministries for many years and was baptized in 1999 at the age of 12 under the leadership of Pastor Michael A. Perrin Sr. Ashley graduated from Eastmoor Academy in 2005. Ashley became an Ohio licensed STNA through Heartland of Willoughby Rehabilitation Center in 2018, with a specialty in patient rehabilitation.

As a child, Ashley was active in gymnastics, ballet, and tap dance. In junior high/middle school she started swimming. It was a rocky start, but ultimately began swimming on the Marion Franklin Recreation Center swim team and became one of the best on the team for the breast stroke, back stroke and freestyle relay.

While in high school, Ashley developed a love for art and was extremely gifted at drawing very intricate portraits using pencil and using water colors and charcoal to create beautiful art. 

Ashley had huge smile and an even bigger heart. She was always willing to help family and friends, but her greatest accomplishment was in giving birth to her beloved son, Corry A. Gordon. 

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandmother Katherine Standifer and step-grandfather Paul L. Jackson.

Ashley is survived by her son, Corry Gordon; father, Dre’sin Paris; mother, Mary Allen; stepmothers Lisa (Edwin “Tony”) Nicholas and Lajunta “Wanda” Reggins-McKenzie; stepfather, Dominic Allen Sr;  siblings, Kyle Corry, Cynthia Allen, Dominic Allen Jr, Charlotte (Brett) Shook, Jasmine Reggins-McKenzie, and Jackson Nicholas; grandparents, John Standifer, Gloria Myles Johnson, Donald (Jeroline “Nana”) Johnson, Vivet Reggins, Barbara Jackson, and Christine Allen; aunts/uncles, Eugene (Erica) Johnson, Beatrice Johnson, Amekka (Chris) Jackson, Teressa Jackson, Licia Reggins, Shona Reggins, Tyrone Reggins, Veda Allen, Amy Allen, Pam Allen, George Allen, Charles (Gloria) Allen, and Tony (Regina) Allen; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
