Arvydas “Arv” Jasmantas 63, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 on his farm in Lake Cicott.
He is the husband of Leta Jasmantas. They shared 33 years of marriage together.
Born in Cicero, Illinois, he was the son of Lithuanian immigrants Kazys and Anele (Alisius) Jasmantas.
He learned how to weld and used this skill to further himself becoming a Millwright. He then moved to Washington State where he took a job at a nuclear power plant as a welder.
While in Washington, he developed his passion for hunting and everything outdoors which led him to buy a piece of land in Lake Cicott where he put down roots. Arv, along with his wife, Leta, grew it into their own piece of paradise where they could raise their kids. Here he was able to be himself, enjoying all that nature had to offer, from hunting and fishing to working outdoors with his hands. He lived life to its fullest and will always be remembered by his family and friends through the many colorful memories he created.
