Arvel Louis Helms Jr. (Buddy) 11/4/1948-2/12/2020Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Artha Helms; Sons Hunter Helms, Ben (Beth) Helms; Daughters Ann (Chris) Kozlowski, Jennifer (Phil) Pressotto; 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Dakota, Phillip, Catie; and 2 great grandchildren, Landon and Brayson. Also, his sister Diana (David) Bailey, Aunt Della Lee (Max) Lamar. Step mother-in-law Carole Rooney, brothers-in-law Leland (Julie) Rooney, Eric (Julie) Rooney, sister-in-law Lynn Renee (Colin) Rooney, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Arvel Louis Helms Sr. and Josephine Helms, father-in-law Arthur Rooney.Buddy, as he was commonly known to all who knew and loved him, was a Past Master of Hendersonville Lodge #359, a longtime member of the Beech Lodge #240, and a Past Captain of the Director’s Staff of the Al Menah Shrine Temple.Buddy’s achievements in life were many. Most importantly were his family and raising money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Buddy loved to fish, hunt, play cards, and he adored his bulldogs.
